LAKE DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY

NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING (GENERAL) REGULATIONS 2012

PROPOSED TORVER NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN:

DESIGNATION OF NEIGHBOURHOOD AREA

Notice is given that an application has been made by Torver Parish Council for designation of a Neighbourhood Area under Section 61G of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

The purpose of the application is to enable the Parish Council to undertake neighbourhood planning, and in particular to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan, for the area covered by the Civil Parish of Torver, as shown on the accompanying map (see attachment below).

The entirety of the parish is considered to be the area most appropriate to be designated as a neighbourhood area for planning purposes. The Lake District National Park Authority is the planning authority for the parish.

Torver Parish Council is a ‘relevant body’ for the purposes of Section 61G of the 1990 Act, and is therefore qualified to undertake neighbourhood planning.

In accordance with Regulation 6 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, the application is now advertised for representations as to whether there is any reason why the Lake District National Park Authority should not make the designation.

Representations concerning this application should be made in writing to:

The Spatial Planning and Communities Team,

Lake District National Park Authority,

Murley Moss,

Oxenholme Road,

Kendal,

Cumbria

LA9 7RL,

or by e-mail to hq@ake-district.gov.uk no later than 14th June 2013.
